Dietary Suggestions for Spleen Qi Deficiency

Spleen Qi deficiency is quite common in our society where cold foods, greasy foods, and irregular meals are the rule rather than the exception. Spleen Qi deficiency manifests as poor appetite gas, bloating, loose stools, low energy, and sugar cravings.

Beneficial Foods: generally slightly sweet or bland
apple cucumber, beef, bird's nest, black-eyed peas, carrot, cherry, chestnut, chicken egg yolk, cucumber meat, button mushrooms, dates, ginger, lotus fruit and seed, perch, potato, mustard seed, rice, rock sugar, string bean, sweet potato, yam.

Beneficial Teas:
ginger

Avoid:
cold foods, greasy foods, irregular meals
