Stir Fried Bean Sprouts (Moyashi Itame)
Embracing all of the dietary principles for spring, stir-fried bean sprouts are a tasty side dish that can complement a dinner. Many recipes are available, but here is one that is particular good for the Liver system.
Actions:
- Nourish and Harmonize Liver
- Preserve Yin
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- Bean Sprouts: 3 cups
- Wood Ears: 1/2 cup
- Carrot: 1/2 cup
- Button Mushrooms: 1/2 cup
- Green Onions: 2 stalks
- Garlic: 1 piece
- Salt: 2tbsp
- Canola oil: 2tbsp
Directions:
- Rinse all vegetables; chop mushrooms into ¼-inch slices; shred carrots and wood ears to matchstick size; chop garlick
- Preheat canola oil over high heat in a frying pan or wok; add garlic and green onions and fry until fragrant.
- Add all vegetables and cover for 1 minute; removing lid, stir fry until mushrooms are soft.
- Sprinkle salt and transfer to a serving dish

Huang Qi (Astragalus)is a strong immune booster.

Gou Qi (Wolfberry) is generally nourishing.
Green Onions promote a smooth flow of Liver Qi
Wood Ears nourish the Yin of the body
